Platinum Guarantee Terms
Last updated 18 August 2026
These terms govern the MedWithPurpose Platinum Guarantee (the “Guarantee”), which applies exclusively to the MedWithPurpose Platinum Program. They set out exactly what the Guarantee promises, the conditions a student must meet, and how a claim is verified and paid. The Guarantee is offered in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer, and does not replace them.
1. The Guarantee in plain English
If you enrol in the Platinum Program, complete all of the programme work, apply to medical school as set out below, reach the interview stage, attend every interview you are invited to, and still finish the admissions cycle without a single offer of a place in medicine, we will refund 100% of your Programme Fee. Because the Platinum Program is paid by bank transfer, that refund is paid in full with no deductions.
The legal detail below exists for one reason: a guarantee this strong only works if claims can be verified fairly, for you and for us. The conditions are the same conditions a committed student would meet anyway. If the student does the work and the outcome does not come, the risk of that outcome is ours.
The Guarantee is a refund promise. It is not, and can never be, a promise of admission. No organisation can make that promise honestly.
2. Definitions
- “Programme” means the MedWithPurpose Platinum Program purchased by the Student or their family.
- “Student” means the individual applicant enrolled in the Programme. The Guarantee attaches to one named Student only.
- “Covered Cycle” means the single medical school admissions cycle that the Programme was purchased to prepare for, as confirmed in writing during onboarding. If no cycle is confirmed at onboarding, the Covered Cycle is the first admissions cycle whose interviews take place after the date of purchase.
- “Medicine Program” means any university degree or pathway leading to a medical qualification, including undergraduate medicine, provisional-entry and graduate-entry medicine.
- “Offer” has the meaning given in section 6.
- “Programme Work” means the completion requirements set out in section 4.
- “Programme Fee” means the amount actually paid to MedWithPurpose for the Programme, excluding any third-party costs such as university application fees, admissions test fees, or travel.
3. Eligibility
The Guarantee applies if all of the following are true:
- The Programme was purchased on or after 18 August 2026. Enrolments before this date are covered by the refund terms that applied at the time of purchase.
- The Programme Fee has been paid in full and no chargeback or payment dispute has been raised on the transaction.
- The Student completed onboarding, including confirmation of the Covered Cycle and the personalised preparation plan, within 30 days of purchase.
- The Student is genuinely applying to medicine in the Covered Cycle and meets the published entry requirements (academic prerequisites, admissions tests, citizenship or residency requirements) of the Medicine Programs they apply to.
The Guarantee is personal to the named Student, is not transferable, and may be claimed once only.
4. Programme completion requirements
The heart of the Guarantee is simple: the Student must actually do the work. To remain eligible, the Student must complete all of the following before their final interview in the Covered Cycle, except where an item is scheduled by us to occur later:
- Training programme: complete all 8 modules of the online interview training programme.
- Coaching sessions: attend the private 1-on-1 coaching sessions scheduled in the personalised preparation plan, including the welcome call and the pre-interview call, and each scheduled Shanaka-led strategy and review touchpoint.
- Classes: attend the university-specific classes relevant to the universities on the Student's application list (live, or by watching the recording within 7 days where a recording is provided).
- Mock interviews: complete all 8 full-length mock interviews with an expert tutor.
- Platform practice: complete the minimum platform practice volume specified in the Student's personalised preparation plan set at onboarding. Platform activity is recorded automatically and forms part of the completion record.
- Final stretch: attend the final mock preparation and any interview-week sessions we schedule for the Student.
Scheduled sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice without affecting eligibility. A session missed without notice may be forfeited at our discretion; a forfeited core session counts as incomplete Programme Work unless it is made up before the Student's final interview.
We track completion continuously and will tell you, at any point during the Programme, exactly what remains outstanding. You will never have to guess whether the Student is on track for the Guarantee. You may request a written completion status at any time via shanaka@medwithpurpose.com.
5. Application requirements
To remain eligible, the Student must:
- Submit valid, complete, on-time applications to at least three Medicine Programs in the Covered Cycle, or to every Medicine Program for which the Student is eligible if fewer than three are available to them.
- Sit all admissions tests (such as the UCAT) required by those applications.
- Receive at least one interview invitation for a Medicine Program in the Covered Cycle. The Programme prepares students for the interview stage, so the Guarantee covers cycles in which the Student reached that stage. Where no invitation is received, the Guarantee does not apply.
- Attend every interview invitation received in the Covered Cycle for any Medicine Program, on the scheduled date or a date rearranged directly with the university.
- Not withdraw, defer, or decline any application, interview, or offer during the Covered Cycle.
- Keep us reasonably informed of application milestones: where the Student applied, interview invitations received, and outcomes as they arrive.
6. What counts as an offer
An “Offer” means any offer of a place in a Medicine Program made to the Student during or in respect of the Covered Cycle, including:
- Conditional and unconditional offers.
- Provisional-entry and pathway offers leading to medicine.
- A waitlist or reserve-list position that converts into an offer at any point in the Covered Cycle, including late and clearing rounds.
- Offers from any Medicine Program the Student applied to, whether or not it was a first preference, and whether domestic or international.
If the Student receives any Offer as defined above, the Guarantee is fulfilled and no refund is payable, including where the Student chooses not to accept that Offer.
The Guarantee is assessed at the end of the Covered Cycle, after final offer rounds for the Medicine Programs applied to have concluded.
7. Making a claim
To claim under the Guarantee:
- Email shanaka@medwithpurpose.com with the subject line “Platinum Guarantee Claim” within 60 days of the final offer round of the Covered Cycle.
- Include the Student's name, account email, the list of Medicine Programs applied to, and the outcome of each application.
We will acknowledge the claim within 5 business days and set out the verification steps under section 8. We assess claims in good faith and aim to make the process as painless as a disappointing cycle allows.
8. Verification of outcomes
Because the Guarantee turns on outcomes held in university systems we do not control, verification is a condition of payment. It has three parts.
8.1 Documentary evidence
The Student must provide the official outcome correspondence for every application in the Covered Cycle: rejection emails or letters, unsuccessful-outcome portal notifications, or equivalent official records from each university or admissions body (for example, a tertiary admissions centre offer-round statement).
8.2 Live verification session
On request, the Student must attend a live video call, with screen sharing, in which the Student personally logs in to each relevant application portal, admissions centre account, and the email account used for their applications, so that we can sight the outcome status directly for ourselves.
- The Student controls the session at all times and enters their own credentials. We will never ask for, receive, or store any password.
- We may capture screenshots of outcome screens only, solely for the claim record. Those screenshots are retained only for as long as needed to assess and document the claim, and are not used for any other purpose.
- The session is scheduled at a mutually convenient time within 30 days of our request.
8.3 Direct confirmation
Where an outcome cannot be verified under 8.1 and 8.2, we may ask the Student to sign a consent authorising the relevant university or admissions body to confirm the outcome of that application to us directly. We will only use this consent to confirm the existence or absence of an Offer.
8.4 Completion record
Alongside outcome verification, we verify Programme completion against our own records: platform activity logs, session attendance records, and class registers. Because we hold these records ourselves, this step requires nothing from you.
A claim cannot be paid while verification under this section is outstanding. Refusing or failing to complete verification within 60 days of our request, or providing false, altered, or misleading evidence at any stage, voids the claim.
9. The refund
- A verified claim is paid as a refund of 100% of the Programme Fee — $5,997 for the Platinum Program at current pricing, or the discounted amount actually paid where an enrolment was made at a reduced rate.
- The Platinum Program is paid by bank transfer. Refunds are therefore paid in full, with no deductions; there are no third-party payment-processing fees to withhold.
- The refund is paid to the originating account, or to another Australian bank account nominated in writing by the payer, within 14 business days of verification completing.
- The refund covers the Programme Fee only. University application fees, admissions test fees, travel, and other third-party costs are not covered.
- Payment of a verified claim fully discharges the Guarantee.
10. Exclusions
The Guarantee does not apply, and no refund is payable, where:
- The Programme Work in section 4 was not completed, subject to the rescheduling allowances in that section.
- The application requirements in section 5 were not met, including missing an interview the Student was invited to.
- The Student received an Offer as defined in section 6, whether or not they accepted it.
- The Student withdrew from the Programme, deferred their applications to a later cycle by choice, or stopped applying during the Covered Cycle.
- The Student applied only to Medicine Programs whose published entry requirements they did not meet.
- False, misleading, or materially incomplete information was provided at enrolment, during the Programme, or during a claim.
- A chargeback or payment dispute was raised on the Programme Fee instead of, or alongside, a claim under these terms.
- The claim was made outside the 60-day window in section 7.
If a claim fails solely because of a missed requirement we consider immaterial to the outcome, we may, at our discretion, pay the claim in part or in full anyway. We built this Guarantee to be honoured, not engineered around.
11. General terms
- The Guarantee operates alongside the 7-day satisfaction window that applies to our programmes. A refund under one is not payable under both.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right or remedy you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies to you. The Guarantee is offered in addition to those rights.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
- We may amend these terms for future enrolments. The terms in force on the date of your purchase are the terms that apply to you, and we will provide a copy on request.
- If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.
